Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis

Early in my design career, I had the rare opportunity to work on a series of Flyte Tyme artist releases, singles and special projects for legendary producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who had a profound influence on me.

In 2017, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and are considered the most successful writing/production team in modern music history with 16 No. 1 hits, and 26 R&B No. 1 hits.

As an independent designer, I worked on a wide assortment of music projects across pop, R&B and instrumental genres both for Flyte Tyme productions and other record labels. I’ve included select works including covers for Greek composer/producer Yanni.

Capture the artist’s unique brand expression for a wide variety of packaging, promotion, music video and touring deliverables, usually under tight deadlines. Collaborate directly with the producers, artists and record labels.

Art direction, design, illustration, hand-tinting, retouching, original photo-art, set design, tour merchandising, special event design.

Create, direct and manage photo sessions, image and brand assets, production budget and distribute deliverables to record labels.

Create, collaborate, and innovate timeless visual representations of each music project in a variety of media formats while evolving the artist’s brand story.

Creating a strong artist brand identity at a unique moment in music while helping to establish a strong artist visual presence and cross-over appeal in mainstream markets. Achieved gold record sales on all projects.
